Many countries have begun to ease the lock down measure put in place because of Covid-19. In Germany, football games are running again. In Thailand, malls are once again open. People are starting to return to work as world economies begin to pick up the pieces and count the costs. Everywhere people are again breathing
a slight sigh of relief as pandemic fears begin to subside. Or, are they? The WHO warns of a possible second wave. New pandemic epicentres continue to emerge and others with potential to do so. The talk these days is of the so-called new normal. Covid-19 tracking apps are now implemented in several countries, including Thailand. Nevertheless, human nature, the good, bad and ugly parts, is also emerging. Any thoughtful person would be asking, 'Has Covid-19 made us better people?' I hope so but I would not be entirely surprised if it did not. The only thing each of us can say individually is, 'Has this crisis made me a better person?' Hopefully, you can join me in saying, 'Yes.'
