This is only the fourth day of the new year but it already feels old (kind of). Most people are back at work and the old regime of duties has already kicked in. For those who did not get a real year-end break, it seems there is nothing new. Some, like me, still have a little bit more time before getting back into the swing of things.
Qohelet (King Solomon) states that 'there is nothing new under the sun' and life seems to back him up. Nevertheless, there are 11 months and 27 days ahead of us to make 2018 a good year. My assurance is that no matter what happens, God is right there beside me even when I do not have a sense of his presence (like the ever-present sun).
