Today is known as Boxing Day in the UK. However, it is all about football and I anticipate some good games. Of course I have to watch my Liverpool play. I have been an LFC follower for about 30 years. Liverpool is my team!
In one of my classes, there is a group of boys as fanatical about football as I am. All of us support different teams. Whenever there are big matches, the boys would ask me who I thought would win.
One day, there was a big Liverpool match and they asked me if I thought Liverpool would win. I said, 'Yes, they will win'. One of the boys (not a Liverpool fan) retorted, 'But, Sir, you are completely biased'. To which I responded, 'Absolutely! They are my team and I will always be biased'.
Think about this for 2018. If we are on God's team, he will always be totally biased about us. 'For nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ our Lord'. We are his team and he will always be biased about us. I love this idea. What about you?
